HOW TO BE SAVED

Harry Bethel
BethelMinistries.com

This is the most important page on this website if you are not sure that if you died within in the next two minutes that you would go to heaven to be with Jesus Christ.

If you have never repented of your sins and received Christ as your Lord and Savior then you never have been born again.

"[God] commands all men everywhere to repent" (Acts 17:30).

Being a "good" person or even the best person you have ever known will not save you.

Water-baptism will not save you, being christened will not save you, being a church member will not save you, teaching a Bible class will not save you, nor will giving all your money to the poor save you.

The apostle Paul said, "I preached that they should repent and turn to God and prove their repentance by their deeds" (Acts 26:20).

According to the Bible, God will not weigh your good deeds against your bad deeds to see if you can enter heaven.

NOTHING will save you from eternal damnation unless you repent of your sins (that is, turn from everything that you are doing that you know is sinful), and ask God to forgive you and for Jesus Christ to save you from your sins.

If there is even one sin about which you are aware in your life that you are not willing to turn away from in order to be saved and go to heaven, that is a sure sign of a lack of true repentance. Genuine repentance is necessary for salvation, notwithstanding the fact that you almost never hear this truth in preaching or read it in so-called Gospel literature today.

Jesus said unless you repent you will perish (in the Lake of Fire) (Luke 13:3-5). The apostle Peter said to repent and be converted that your sins may be blotted out (Acts 3:19).

According to Jesus Christ, the true Gospel message, condensed, is found in Luke 24:47, "Repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in [Jesus'] name to all nations." Notice that Jesus included the need for "repentance," not just the forgiveness of sins, would be preached.

The Bible says that the Lord is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). This includes you. If you are not sure that you have been saved from your sins, then get on your knees right now and cry out to God to have mercy on you, a sinner. Ask Him to forgive you and to save your soul from hell. If you truly repent and mean it with all your heart, Jesus Christ will save you. Nothing short of this will do. NOTHING.
